Now a Marine Protected Area, when the Author first moved to Milazzo it was just a normal coastline with a beautiful hike. It was the first area where she started to organize local beach clean-ups (prior to the MPA) and she can often be found snorkeling in the crystal clear waters full of life, link. 

The location of MuMa Museo del Mare Milazzo, where the Author helped created a museum around the sperm whale "Siso" with Carmelo Isgrò. The Castle of Milazzo has been a second home for her, link.
